1. Introduction and Acceptance

Welcome to Aviation Intelligence. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Aviation Intelligence platform, website, and related services (collectively, the "Service") operated by Aviation Intelligence LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company with Indiana foreign qualification ("Aviation Intelligence," "we," "us," or "our").

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Aviation Intelligence is an AI-powered platform that parses aircraft maintenance logbook pages into structured, searchable maintenance records. Users upload files — including scanned images, photographs, and PDFs of logbook pages — and our system uses optical character recognition (OCR) and AI extraction to produce structured maintenance data.

The Service is currently in public beta. See Section 3 for what that means.

3. Public Beta Disclaimer

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis during public beta. This means:

• There is no guarantee of uptime, availability, or uninterrupted service.
• Features may be added, changed, or removed at any time without notice.
• Parsing accuracy is actively improving and is not guaranteed to be error-free.
• Data formats and API interfaces may change as the platform evolves.
• The beta period is free of charge. Pricing for future commercial features has not been determined.

We appreciate your participation in the beta. Your use of the platform and your corrections to parsed data directly contribute to improving the system for everyone.

4. No Airworthiness Determination

This is critically important. Please read this section carefully.

Outputs produced by Aviation Intelligence — including parsed maintenance entries, extracted compliance data, AD cross-references, and any other structured data — are informational only and do not constitute:

• Airworthiness determinations
• Compliance decisions
• FAA-approved records
• FAA-compliant documentation
• Certification or approval of any kind

Users are solely responsible for all regulatory compliance decisions. Aviation maintenance decisions must be made by appropriately certificated personnel (A&P mechanics, IAs, repair stations) using original source documentation. The Service is a tool to help organize and search logbook data — it is not a substitute for professional judgment or regulatory compliance.

Do not use parsed outputs as the sole basis for any maintenance, inspection, return-to-service, or airworthiness decision. Always verify against your original logbook pages and consult qualified aviation maintenance professionals.

5. Confidence Scores and AI Limitations

All parsed maintenance entries include a confidence score (ranging from 0.0 to 1.0) that indicates the AI system's level of certainty in its parsing of that entry. You should understand that:

• A high confidence score does not guarantee accuracy. It reflects the model's self-assessment, not an independent verification.
• A low confidence score indicates the system had difficulty parsing the entry and the output is more likely to contain errors.
• Handwritten entries, faded text, unusual formats, and poor scan quality all reduce parsing accuracy.
• You must review all parsed outputs and should not rely solely on AI parsing for any purpose.

Confidence scores are displayed on every parsed entry in the interface. They cannot be hidden or suppressed. This is by design — transparency about AI certainty is a core principle of the platform.

6. User Accounts

To use the Service, you must create an account with a valid email address. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• All activity that occurs under your account.
• Providing accurate account information.
• Notifying us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

7. User Correction Rights Grant

A core feature of the Service is the ability for users to correct and improve parsed data. By submitting corrections (edits to parsed maintenance entries, field corrections, boundary adjustments, or other modifications to AI-generated output), you grant Aviation Intelligence:

• A non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use your corrections to improve AI model accuracy, train machine learning systems, and enhance the Service.
• The right to store, process, and analyze correction data in aggregate and anonymized form.
• The right to incorporate correction patterns into the Service's training pipeline.

Your corrections are logged with metadata including timestamps and a user weight score that reflects your correction accuracy track record. New users start with a default weight; weight increases as corrections are verified to be accurate. Lower-weight corrections may be flagged for additional review before inclusion in training data.

You retain ownership of your source documents. This license applies only to the corrections you submit, not to your original uploaded logbook pages (see Section 8).

8. Data Ownership and License

Your Data

You own your uploaded source files, including the original logbook page images, scans, PDFs, and any associated metadata you provide (aircraft registration, logbook type, etc.). Uploading data to the Service does not transfer ownership of your source files to Aviation Intelligence.

License to Process

By uploading data to the Service, you grant Aviation Intelligence a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to:

• Process your uploaded documents through our OCR and extraction pipeline.
• Store your documents and parsed data to provide the Service to you.
• Derive structured aircraft maintenance data from your uploads and retain such derived data as described below.
• Use derived aircraft maintenance data — individually or in aggregate — to improve AI model accuracy, develop new features and products, and enhance the Service.

Personal Information vs. Aircraft Maintenance Data

We distinguish between personal information (your identity, contact details, account data, and usage activity) and aircraft maintenance data (maintenance entries, component history, time tracking, compliance records, and other structured data describing the condition, history, and maintenance of aircraft and their components).

Personal information is subject to the data protection rights described in our Privacy Policy, including deletion upon request. Aircraft maintenance data is used within the platform to improve AI model accuracy, enable pattern recognition across serial number ranges, and power comparative features that help users understand how their aircraft's maintenance history compares to similar aircraft. It is treated separately as described in this Section and in our Privacy Policy.

No Sale of Personal Information

Aviation Intelligence will not sell your personal information to third parties. We will not share your identity, contact details, or account data with advertisers, data brokers, or any party not involved in delivering the Service.

Use of Aircraft Maintenance Data

Structured aircraft maintenance data derived from the platform — including maintenance entries, component histories, compliance records, and time-tracking data — may be used by Aviation Intelligence and its affiliates or related entities for purposes including but not limited to: improving AI model accuracy, enhancing parsing and extraction quality, enabling pattern recognition across aircraft serial number ranges, powering comparative and benchmarking features for users, developing new product features, and improving the overall quality and safety of the Service. When aircraft maintenance data is used for these purposes, personal identifiers (your name, email, and account information) are removed; however, aircraft-identifying information (such as registration numbers and serial numbers) may be retained where necessary for the data's utility within the platform.

9. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Upload content you do not have the right to share, including logbook pages belonging to aircraft you do not own or have authorization to access.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the AI models, algorithms, or training data used by the Service.
• Use the Service to generate fraudulent, falsified, or misleading maintenance records.
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service, its servers, or connected networks.
• Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to access the Service without prior written permission.
• Misrepresent AI-parsed outputs as original certified maintenance records.
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.

10. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, AI models, algorithms, user interface, design, and documentation, is the property of Aviation Intelligence LLC and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our intellectual property except the limited right to use the Service as described herein.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

• Aviation Intelligence shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.
• Aviation Intelligence shall not be liable for any decisions made based on parsed output, including but not limited to maintenance decisions, airworthiness determinations, compliance assessments, or purchasing decisions.
• Aviation Intelligence's total liability for any claim arising from the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to Aviation Intelligence in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim (during the free beta, this amount is zero).
• Aviation maintenance decisions remain the sole responsibility of appropriately certificated personnel. The Service does not replace professional judgment.

You acknowledge that aircraft maintenance is a safety-critical domain and that AI-parsed data may contain errors. You assume all risk associated with using parsed outputs for any purpose.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Aviation Intelligence LLC, its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from:

• Your use of the Service.
• Your violation of these Terms.
• Your violation of any applicable law or regulation.
• Any claim that your use of parsed outputs caused harm to a third party.

13. Account Termination

By Aviation Intelligence

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, engaged in abusive behavior, or used the Service in a way that poses a risk to other users or the platform. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before or at the time of termination, but are not required to do so in cases of serious abuse.

By You

You may close your account at any time by contacting us at support@aviationintelligence.co. Before termination, you may request an export of your data (uploaded documents and parsed records). We will fulfill export requests within a reasonable timeframe.

After Termination

Upon termination, your right to access the Service ceases. You may request deletion of your uploaded source files (images, scans, PDFs) prior to or within 30 days of termination, and we will honor such requests within a reasonable timeframe.

Structured aircraft maintenance data derived from your uploads (parsed entries, component histories, compliance records, and time-tracking data) is integrated into the platform's training and aggregate datasets during processing and is not removed upon account closure. Personal identifiers are removed from this data as described in Section 8. Correction data you submitted is retained under the license granted in Section 7. See our Privacy Policy for additional detail on data retention.

14. Modifications to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do:

• The "Last updated" date at the top of this document will be revised.
• The version number will be incremented.
• For material changes (changes that significantly affect your rights or obligations), we will require you to re-accept the updated Terms before continuing to use the Service.
• For minor changes (clarifications, formatting, additional detail that does not alter your rights), continued use of the Service after the update constitutes acceptance.

We recommend reviewing these Terms periodically. Your continued use of the Service after any modification constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

15. Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Wyoming, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts. Notwithstanding the foregoing, Aviation Intelligence may, at its sole discretion, elect to bring or transfer any action to the state or federal courts located in the State of Indiana, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts as well.

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

17. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Aviation Intelligence regarding your use of the Service. They supersede any prior agreements or understandings, whether written or oral.
